24 Hours of Science is a full day of activities related to science and technology for audiences of all ages. The event starts on Friday at noon, continues into the evening, and ends at noon on Saturday. The program includes interactive sessions, lab visits, presentations, science competitions, movies, and other special activities. The activities will explore many different scientific fields, including ecology, mathematics, health, astronomy, natural sciences, engineering and the environment. There’s something for everyone!
 
OBJECTIVES
. Encourage interaction between researchers and the general public
. Stimulate general interest in science and technology
. Promote scientific careers for young people
 
ENDORSEMENTS
Since 2010, the event has been recognized and supported by UNESCO. In 2010, 24 Hours of Science also received the Prize for the Promotion of Science from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). In 2011, the Association for the Development of Research and Innovation in Quebec (ADRIQ) attributed an Innovation Award to 24 Hours of Science in the category of Changing Techno-Science.
