On the occasion of Science and You, the magazine produced a thematic “dossier” on scientific culture. There are twelve articles from ten countries: Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States. They were brought together by two renowned researchers in the field of scientific communication: Joëlle Le Marec, Paris-Sorbonne, and Bernard Schiele, Université du Québec à Montréal.
"The purpose of this dossier is to provide an overview of scientific culture issues as they arise in 10 countries, as well as the actions taken to address the distinct problems they face. It also presents some experiments carried out there. For, contrary to a universalist conception that has long prevailed, attention is now focused on local conditions and the development of means of intervention adapted to these conditions. […]We hope that this overview stimulates the desire to know more about what is done elsewhere, and stimulates a reflection on our own view on the publicization of the sciences ", Joëlle Le Marec and Bernard Schiele

  • The dossier is in French only. A printed version, Cultures de science, will be available at the venue.
