Since panels are one and a half hours long, it is recommended to include 3 or 4 panellists and to allow a minimum of 30 minutes for discussion with the audience.
The panel leader is in charge of proposing a theme, identifying and contacting the panel members as well as coordinating the panel. The workshop shall address the themes of the event. 
 
The information found in this document will be used in all communication tools for the promotion of JICS - Science and You.

Eligibility criteria

  • The workshop must include a researcher and a professional from the scientific or entrepreneurial field of culture
  • At least one Canadian resident and one person from abroad
  • Strive for equal gender representation
  • Address the general themes of the event
  • Proposal must be filled online before December 1st, 2016, 11:59pm

Panel holder
The panel holder is in charge of proposing a theme, identifying and contacting the panel members as well as coordinating the panel. The workshop shall address the themes of the event. Since panels are one and a half hours long, it is recommended to include 3 or 4 panellists and to allow a minimum of 30 minutes for discussion with the audience.

Themes
All stakeholders in the scientific culture community are invited to submit a proposal on either an open or a designated theme. After review by the Scientific Committee, only 10 panel hosts will be selected.
You are invited to propose a new theme or a theme close to those suggested by the organizing committee. All applications will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee which will make a choice relating to the proposed themes together for discussion panels.

Communication
The Scientific Committee will refer to this document for consultation and selection purposes. The information found in this document will be used in all communication tools for the promotion of JICS - Science and You.

Registration fees
The registration will be free for the panel holder. The other panellist have to pay the registrations fees for the JICS.

Travel and accomodation fees:
The costs of travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the panelliste and the panel holder.
