COVID-19: information for Science & You 2021

Date:
27/08/21

The Science&You conference will still be held in person at the Robert Schuman Conference Centre in Metz, in compliance of health protocols. However, you can take part in and attend the colloquium by videoconference if you cannot travel to the venue.

Barrier measures and the health pass

The health protocol implemented during the Science&You conference:

  • Compliance with barrier measures by everyone involved: attendees, staff, speakers, journalists, etc. Masks must be worn on Centre premises.
  • Mandatory presentation of the health pass. The certificate may be presented on the TousAntiCovid application or in paper form. Its compliance will be checked at the entrance every day and for all attendees, in accordance with the health rules currently in force.
  • Travelers vaccinated outside: European Union Member States, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, Switzerland, or United Kingdom (England and Wales only) must apply for the French health pass.

Travelling to France: international trips

- All foreigners, whether vaccinated or not, must complete the Sworn Statement document (a version for each zone) and present it before boarding, and the request to convert their vaccination certificate into a French health pass.

Vaccines accepted by France are those recognised by the European Medicines Agency (EMA): Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Vaxzevria/Covishield and Johnson & Johnson.

Proof of vaccination is only valid if it attests to completion of a full vaccination scheme and the required period after the final injection, i.e.:

  • - 7 days after the 2nd injection for double-injection vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, and AstraZeneca/Vaxzevria/Covishield) ;
  • - 4 weeks after injection for single-injection vaccines (Johnson & Johnson) ;
  • - 7 days after injection for vaccines administered to individuals with a history of Covid-19 (only 1 injection required).

- Unvaccinated foreigners coming from a green zone will have to present a certificate of recovery (at least 11 days and a maximum of 6 months old) or a PCR test taken less than 72 hours beforehand (or less than 24 hours for green-zone countries on the watchlist) to the authorities overseeing boarding procedures.

-Unvaccinated foreigners coming from orange and red zones will not be authorised to enter France, as travel to a professional colloquium does not constitute a compelling reason.
