National survey "the French and science"

National survey "the French and science"

On the occasion of Science & You 2021, the Université de Lorraine, in partnership with the London School of Economics and Political Science - LSE and GEMASS, conducts a national survey on the attitude of the French public towards science. Initially carried out by CEVIPOF (UMR CNRS/Sciences Po), this survey was launched in 1972. Subsequently, six other investigations were conducted: 1982, 1989, 1994, 2000, 2007 and 2011.

The Université de Lorraine wanted to seize the opportunity to work on the data collected since 1972 to continue the series, and to make it the longest uninterrupted series of data in the world on the perception of a population towards science. The results of the survey will be presented at Science & You 2021, offering exceptional scientific content at the symposium.
